Cristel Zoebisch's experience spans federal conservation and climate policy, people management, coalition building, and strategy development. She brings nearly a decade of experience and leadership in climate and agriculture policy and is committed to enabling the transformation of agriculture into a resilient and prosperous system.
Most recently, as Founder of Rooted Strategy & Policy, Ms. Zoebisch led federal policy strategy and campaign advocacy for clients focused on diversified perennial agriculture systems, including serving as Policy Lead and Co-Chair of the Policy Working Group for the Agroforestry Coalition. Previously, she served as Director of the Land Policy team at Carbon180, where she developed and managed projects to activate agricultural and forest lands as carbon sinks. Earlier in her career, she led the Conservation, Energy, and Environment Committee and the Climate Change Subcommittee at the National Sustainable Agriculture Coalition, where she coordinated legislative and regulatory advocacy across conservation and climate priorities.
Ms. Zoebisch began her career as a Business Technology Consultant at Deloitte managing technology implementation projects across federal, nonprofit, and private sector clients. She holds a B.A. in Economics with Highest Honors from the University of Texas at Austin and an M.A. in Food Studies with a concentration in food policy and economics from New York University.
